A downloadable game for Windows

A Dire Helpless Domain - A.D.H.D.

Help out the main character to clean their room and explore all the little worlds located in the room!

This short, cute game was made as a part of Game Jam Nitra 2025 (organised by "Hra Bez Hranic")  by a team "Unknown Last Minute" consisting of three members:

  • Alex Wolfie - game design, 2D work and planning, programmer
  • ukfIG2 - programmer and implementing
  • Uby - 3D modeling, programmer

The theme for this year's Game Jam was "Little World, Big Problems".

SPOILERS AHEAD!

We went with this idea once we started joking around about trash under bed, and slowly got here. We implemented the imagination and struggles of a ADHD person (might not be accurate - don't cancel us) and tried to make little worlds with problems in the places the player has to clean.

A room can be someone's small world, and inside each room are smaller worlds - creativity, fear, wonder and much more. We decided to expand onto this idea and make it a interesting game  - where the mundanity of every-day tasks blends with imagination. From our personal experiences, we deduced that usually when you have to clean, but don't feel like it - you start with something small, for example - the table. And by doing these smaller tasks and getting rewarded with something boosts a person's motivation to do it all and conquer the world (that far we didn't go though).

The project is small as it is because we were originally gonna do it in Unity but after a whole night of just waiting for the one guy to do it - we decided to do it in Godot since two of us were already familiar with such program. That's why it's small as it is - we had to cut a lot of content...
